At our Burlington City Council meeting today, we were excited to put a spotlight on our Special Olympics Burlington athletes and coaches for their recent accomplishments at the 2024 Special Olympics Ontario Spring Games and World Karate Commission National Games! Congratulations — we're all so very proud of you!

Special Olympics Ontario Spring Games

The 2024 Special Olympics Ontario Spring Games was hosted in the Waterloo Region from May 23-26, 2024. These Games are a testament to the resilience and determination of the athletes who participated in Basketball, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Ten-Pin Bowling and Swimming. Council recognized the following athletes in these categories:

World Karate Commission National Games

We are all inspired by the amazing achievements reached by each of the participating athletes in the World Karate Commission National Games. We are incredibly proud of each of these athletes who competed and reached incredible heights. Council recognized the following athletes:
