Investing in your City: Electric Vehicle Charging Spaces
Our weekly "Investing in your City" series continues, highlighting some of the significant investments being made in Burlington and that our community will benefit from.
The City is continuing investments in installing electric vehicle (EV) charging spaces in the downtown, including those that meet accessibility requirements, and developing a rollout plan to increase charger inventory.
The City has installed 29 charging station (dual charging heads) in various parking lots downtown and across the city. This year will see the installation of our first EV Charging Space that also meets accessibility requirements.
Efforts will continue into 2024 to increase our available charger inventory. For a list of all the current locations, click/tap the link.The City's Parking Services Department will be working with other departments to strategize, develop and implement a plan to roll-out paid EV Charging in the downtown.
