Investing in your City: Upgrades to Burlington's Parks
Our weekly "Investing in your City" series continues, highlighting some of the significant investments being made in Burlington and that our community will benefit from.

The City is investing in our parks with planned upgrades for more than 14 parks throughout Burlington and several more over the next few years. It's important to note that the forecast projects (2025-2026) are subject to change based on the annual review of the Capital Budget.
2024 Planned Park Upgrades:

| Beachway Park | Design work for playground replacement |
| Burloak Park | Design work for playground replacement |
| Cavendish Park | Reconstruction of ball diamond |
| City View Park | Two (2) natural grass ball diamonds, one with light, and parking |
| Cleaver Park | Fence repair and renewal |
| Ireland Park | Replacement of sport lighting systems on ball diamonds, pedestrian bridge replacement |
| Millcroft Park | Replacement of playground |
| Nelson Park | Replacement of playground |
| Norton Park | Design for new plaground, skatepark and multi-use court renewal |
| Orchard Park | Design for new playground, trails, multi-use court and site furnishings |
| Pinemeadow Park | Renewal of playground, swings, site furnishings, soccer goal posts and recreational trail |
| Spencer Smith Park | Replace artificial turf, repairs to promenade, and replace sports lighting bulbs |
| Thorpe Park | Design work in 2024 for renewal of ball diamond, recreational trail, playground and site furnishings in 2025 |
| Tyandaga Golf Course | Course repairs and renewal |
| Windows to the Lake - Green Street | Renewal |
| Playgrounds at schools: Central, King Road, Lakeshore, Tom Thomson, Pauline Johnson, Mohawk, and Paul A Fisher | Replacement/renewal of playground assets on school board property (from 2024-2027) |
