There's still opportunity to provide your feedback on the City's draft Community Engagement Charter and Framework
In April 2013, Burlington City Council approved the first Burlington Community Engagement Charter. The Charter was created by residents with support from staff. It is an agreement between and among Burlington City Council and the community concerning resident engagement with City government and establishes the commitments, responsibilities and fundamental concepts of this relationship.
In 2023, the City of Burlington’s Community Engagement Charter turned 10 years old. In order to ensure the City keeps up with the changing needs and wants of the growing Burlington community, the City is looking for feedback on how the Community Engagement Charter can be refreshed to reflect how the City of Burlington is evolving.The in person and virtual engagement sessions have been completed but there are still lots of other opportunities to provide your insights and feedback on the revised Community Engagement Charter.
The City of Burlington’s updated draft Community Engagement Charter is open for review before being finalized. Comments and feedback will be accepted until Sept 15, 2024.Please review some of the proposed changes or updates based on what we heard before reviewing the draft document.
