Aldershot Community Honour Roll Celebrates 2023 Honourees

I recently joined the Aldershot Community Honour Roll in celebrating its 2023 honourees! It's a wonderful community recognition program that showcases and celebrates the contributions and achievements of Aldershot residents. Here are the 2023 Aldershot Community Honour Roll recipients and a bit about each of them:Paul BarnaInitiated a Young Artist Mentorship Program within the Burlington Symphony Orchestra and established the Burlington Chamber Sinfonia.  He is a skilled performer for various orchestras across the province and is a brilliant ambassador for Burlington and the Aldershot community.Paul has the ability to work and relate to students of all ages and all levels, that has propelled many of them to become award-winning, scholarship-receiving students.Steve CoussensSteve is a staunch Aldershot supporter who has contributed quietly for many years in an ongoing manner to improve the community and its residents. He continuously responds to the call of the community and, in the last number of years, has stepped up to a leadership role that has benefited Aldershot members and beyond.Leon DenbokLeon is an entrepreneur, community-minded citizen and long-standing volunteer and donor to many organizations. His leadership and flexibility as Chair of the Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) Foundation has enabled the Foundation to continue to fundraise for the critical needs at JBH, that includes finding innovative solutions to increase access and outcomes to mental health and addictions services for the community. He is also a long-standing Rotarian (and Past-President) with the Rotary Club of Burlington North (RCBN). The RCBN contributes to our community in myriad ways from raising funds for the Salvation Army, which helps families here in Burlington, to recently planting trees in Lowville Park, to providing funds to the Burlington Food Bank.Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation
