"While we had hoped Mother Nature would cooperate to allow us to extend the swimming season at Nelson Outdoor Pool to Thanksgiving, we are thankful we were able to extend the swim season at Nelson Pool three additional weeks this summer. The extension of the season helped residents make the most of the summer and get back to the activities they enjoy. We hope they will continue to take advantage of the great programming available at some of the City’s indoor pool facilities this fall." -- Chris Glenn, Director of Recreation Services, City of Burlington
