Burlington Accepting Rental Requests to hold Outdoor Fitness Classes in Select City Parks

Burlington, Ont. — June 15, 2021 — As Ontario enters Step 1 of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen plan, the City of Burlington is now accepting rental requests from Burlington residents, organizations and/or businesses who would like to hold fitness classes in select city parks on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.In alignment with Step 1 of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopen plan, rental spots are available until the Province permits Halton Region to move into Step 2 of the plan.

Overview
- Rental spots are open Monday through Friday only, in 60-minute time slots, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
- Bookings are open to Burlington residents or Burlington-based organizations and/or businesses.
- Bookings are available in select parks and DO NOT include Burloak Waterfront Park, LaSalle Park, Spencer Smith Park, The Beachway or Windows to the Lake locations. Civic Square at 426 Brant St. is also not included.
- A 20 per cent rental rate reduction will be applied to all bookings, as approved by Burlington City Council.
- Class size is limited to 10 people, with everyone maintaining a three metre distance.
- Team sports, games or scrimmages, as well as spectators, are not permitted.
