Burlington Council Gets Next Steps in Completing City's Integrated Mobility Plan Project

We received a staff report outlining the next steps needed to complete our City's Integrated Mobility Plan project at our Council meeting on June 21.The Integrated Mobility Plan project began in 2020 with the goal of developing the City’s first ever strategic transportation master plan. Since the project commenced, there have been several touch points with Council through workshops and staff reports. This update builds upon report TS-16-21 Integrated Mobility Plan - Presentation of the Preferred Network Solution, we received in December 2021.Click here to read the staff report on the June 2022 Integrated Mobility Plan update: TS-04-22 Integrated Mobility Plan Update Report.City of Burlington staff are targeting to complete all remaining technical tasks for the Integrated Mobility Plan, listed in the staff report, by Q2 2023 and present Council with the the finalized plan (including financial impacts) at that time as well.MY TAKE:We want to do everything we can to provide residents with a variety of options to get around our city, whether by foot, transit, bike or car. By planning safe ways for everyone to share our streets, we serve all users, and all forms of transportation. I thank our City staff for their extensive work on this.
