Burlington Culture Days Kicks off this Friday
Culture Days is coming to Burlington starting this Friday through to Sunday (Sept. 27-29) with free arts and cultural events and activities planned across our City.As a national charitable organization, Culture Days is a not-for-profit dedicated to building a national network of cultural connections devoted to providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of art and culture. The three-day annual celebration of arts and culture starts on the last Friday of September.This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the initiative and has the theme of "Creativity, the Arts and Well-being to highlight the many ways arts and culture are connected to our well-being as individuals and the vitality of our community.Burlington residents are invited to get hands on and behind the scenes as they discover the world of creativity and culture featuring visual art, dance, theatre, music, storytelling and crafting to raise awareness, engagement, and participation in arts and culture. This year's event highlights include:
- Culture Days Kick-off and Celebration — Join the Arts and Culture Council of Burlington for family-friendly activities and interactive performances featuring Burlington artists and performers.

- Time: 6:30 to 9:15 p.m.
- Location: Art Gallery of Burlington, 1333 Lakeshore Rd.
- BPAC’s 2019 Cultural Diversity Festival — Celebrate our community’s cultural diversity with performances, workshops and events.
- Dates: Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29

- Celebrating Art and Culture in the City — Stop by the Visitor Information Centre at 414 Locust St. to learn about the amazing art programs in Burlington. Colour your own mandala and use it to help you focus while meditating or make your own stress balls.

- Doors Open Burlington — Visit heritage sites, noteworthy buildings, and interesting locations - free of charge. Many of these buildings and locations will offer special activities during the day.
