All other branches remain closed until further notice, and programs and room rentals are cancelled.“We have really missed serving Burlington residents in person, and we are eager to help them now get the library items they want, in the safest way possible,” says Lita Barrie, Burlington Public Library CEO. “While our services may be limited for the foreseeable future, we look forward to welcoming customers into Tansley Woods and Central branches to collect the items that they want most.”Barrie adds that staff are ready to help over the phone if customers need some assistance reserving library items through the online catalogue. Customers can call 905-639-3611, ext. 1202, Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.Except for the reconfigured holds pick-up and check-out zones, all other areas inside the library will be closed to the public, including access to public washrooms, computers, photocopier/printers, magazines, newspapers, makerspace at Central, and inside return slots.  Customers can visit the library website at bpl.on.ca to see all the collections available for loan, including Express items that normally cannot be reserved. As Burlington and the Province of Ontario move through their own reopening phases, the Library will also gradually reopen at other locations and offer more library services when it is considered safest to do so.Safety measures in place during this first phase of branch reopening:
