Burlington Welcomes 9 New Volunteer Fire Fighters

We know the training and sacrifice it takes to become a fire fighter. Thank you for stepping up to serve!*Please see below a news release issued by the City of Burlington.Burlington, Ont. — May 27, 2022 — The City of Burlington’s Fire Department is welcoming and congratulating nine new volunteer fire fighters who graduated from the training program and will now be volunteering from the Kilbride station.Burlington Fire Chief Karen Roche, Mayor Marianne Meed Ward, Councillor Rory Nisan, Deputy Chief Phil Thorburn and Deputy Chief John Pawlik helped celebrate their achievements with family and friends at a graduation ceremony held Thursday, May 26, 2022.

About Volunteer Fire FightersVolunteer Firefighters serve the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to large-scale community emergencies.
