Burlington's Aldershot Pool to Close in June for Planned Maintenance, Repair
Aldershot Pool will be closing for planned repairs and maintenance in late June 2020. Repairs are anticipated to be complete by February 2021.The repairs are needed as part of the City’s on-going facility maintenance program. These repairs will add many years to the life of the facility and help keep it a favourite, family friendly location.
"It is important to complete these necessary repairs to the facility to help extend the life and efficiency of this highly used public pool. We understand that this closure may impact those who enjoy Aldershot pool and the warmer pool water offered at this location. We still have many other great pool facilities for people to enjoy, including our two outdoor pools, wading pools and community splash pads during the summer. We are also working hard to have more community-based programming available for participation at the other indoor pools, so you can keep swimming." — Chris Glenn, Director of Recreation Services, City of Burlington
Participants wanting to continue to enjoy swimming can still use any of the City’s indoor pools. During the summer months, participants can enjoy our outdoor pools, wading pool and community splash pads.
