City of Burlington Releases Official List of Certified Candidates for 2022 Municipal Election

*Please see below a news release issued by the City of Burlington.Burlington, Ont. — Aug. 22, 2022 — A total of 52 candidates are certified to run in the 2022 municipal election in Burlington. The candidate nomination period for the 2022 Burlington municipal election closed on Aug. 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. The official list of certified candidates running for positions, including those on City Council, Regional Chair and School Board trustee, is as follows:

Quick Facts:

  • Voting for the Burlington municipal election takes place between Oct. 11 and 24, 2022.
  • There are three ways to vote:
    • online, using Internet voting, from Oct. 11 to 20, 2022
    • in person, at advance polls on Oct. 15 and 18, 2022
    • in person, on election day, Oct. 24, 2022.
  • Individuals eligible to vote in the Burlington municipal election must be:
    • a Canadian citizen
    • at least 18 years old
    • a resident in the City of Burlington (own or rent property)
    • a non-resident of Burlington, but you or your spouse own or rent property in Burlington.
