City of Burlington Selects Catherine Baldelli as new Director of Burlington Transit

*Please see below a news release issued by the City of Burlington.Burlington, Ont. — June 23, 2022 — The City of Burlington is pleased to announce Catherine Baldelli as the new Director of Burlington Transit.Baldelli began her career in 1994 working for the Region of Waterloo, moving quickly through the ranks of impressive roles in both the private and public sector over the next 25 years. In 2003 she made the move to The Town of Milton in a number of positions in their ITS department, including Manager, Enterprise Business Systems & GIS.Baldelli joined the City of Burlington in 2018 as a Business Relationship Manager in the ITS Department where she served as the IT strategic partner to both the Transit and Roads, Parks and Forestry Departments. Her work with Transit lead to her current role as Manager of Transit Planning and Business Services for Burlington Transit.She has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, a Diploma of Municipal Management from AMCTO, plus various training programs specific to Fixed Route Transit Planning and Business Relationship Management. Baldelli is a member of the Ontario Public Transit Association (OPTA) and the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) and was a former Director for the MISA Ontario (Municipal Information Systems Association) and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association – Ontario Chapter (URISA).Baldelli will start in her new role on July 18.For more information about Burlington Transit, visit burlingtontransit.ca
