City Selects Emilie Cote as New Director of Recreation, Community & Culture

*Please see below a news release issued by the City of Burlington.Burlington, Ont. — Jan. 25, 2023 — The City of Burlington is pleased to announce Emilie Cote as the new Director of Recreation, Community & Culture.Emilie brings a passion for community service delivery and a strategic vision  with more than 15 years of progressive municipal experience in operating departments within the City including Manager of Business Services, Manager of Fleet within Roads, Parks and Forestry and her most recent role as Manager of Recreation Services.Emilie has also been a key member of the City’s Covid-19 response team and numerous corporate initiatives including the Hybrid Workforce team and E-Government program.

Emilie’s wealth of experience and leadership will help the City meet its Council-approved goals on the strategic directions within Vision to Focus. Emilie will also provide strategic leadership for the Recreation, Community and Culture department in their mandate to provide inclusive recreational and cultural programs for all ages and abilities.
