Congratulations to Mayor's Office Intern on New Role

While we are sad to see our amazing Mayor's Office Intern and Support Staff Shelby Dockendorff leave our team, we are absolutely excited for her as she takes on a new role at the City of Burlington as Human Resource Coordinator - Recruitment & Recognition, effective Jan. 4, 2022.

Shelby joined the City in June 2020 as the student intern in the Mayor’s Office. Previous to this internship, she had worked at the Region of Halton and in the Office of the Premier of Ontario.

She has extensive experience building relationships with partner groups, creating innovative attraction plans, policy development and extensive knowledge of the public sector.

Shelby has a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
