Continuing the Dialogue with Developers

I continue to meet regularly with the Halton chapter of the Building Industry and Land Development (BiLD) Association as a regular touch base with our local development community to talk about general issues, what's coming up, a chance to get their feedback and listen to ideas.Last week was our 7th meeting and our agenda covered an in-depth discussion on the industry's concerns and considerations around inclusionary zoning and how it relates to affordable housing .I appreciated the insights they shared, the data they provided, and the takeaways suggested. Our city is always going to evolve and grow - and development of new housing and workplaces is always going to be a part of that. By working together we can ensure that the right developments happen in the right places - aligned with our community's vision and protecting the elements of our city that make it so special to those who live and work here. You can view the presentation from last week's meeting along with all previous meetings in the following document: All Presentation Decks _2021 MeetingsI look forward to continuing these meetings and the productive dialogue we have built together into 2022.
