Halton’s 2023-2026 Strategic Business Plan Approved by Regional Council

On July 12, 2023, Halton Regional Council approved the Region’s 2023-2026 Strategic Business Plan that identifies the priorities for Council’s four-year term of office. The Plan includes four strategic themes, each with goals, actions and measures that will guide the work to enhance the programs, services and infrastructure residents rely on every day.

To support the development of the Plan, residents, businesses and community partners as well as Indigenous People, Communities and First Nations were engaged in a public consultation process. Public engagement activities included an online survey, virtual public meetings and a community partner meeting. Input received helped to inform the Plan and ensure it reflects what matters most to the community. The four strategic themes outlined in the 2023-2026 Strategic Business Plan include:
- Community Well Being;
- Infrastructure and Growth;
- Climate Change and the Environment; and
- Excellence in Government.
Regional Council will continue to work closely with the Local Municipalities, other levels of government and community partners to implement the new Plan, deliver on the strategic themes and find collaborative solutions to emerging issues.
