Mayor Marianne Meed Ward Weekly UpdateGood morning Burlington,We had a beautiful sunny spring day on Sunday and I hope everyone had a chance to get outside and enjoy it with some of their favourite activities.Another busy week in the Mayor's Office, ahead of our Standing Committee Week that starts in May. Agendas for each of our committees next week are out and I encourage everyone to head to burlington.ca/calendar and take a read of them to see what's coming up for Council discussion.In addition, the Province announced Friday (April 22) that in order to effectively manage the 6th wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was going to maintain its mask mandate (originally set to expire on April 27) until June 11, 2022 in the following settings:

  • Public transit; Health-care settings (hospitals, doctors’ offices, clinics that provide health care services, laboratories, specimen collection centres, & home and community care);
  • Long-term care homes; Retirement homes; and
  • Shelters & other congregate care settings that provide care and services to medically- and socially-vulnerable individuals.
