Good Morning Burlington,Quite a windy weekend behind us and my sincere thanks to city staff for quickly dealing with numerous constituent calls related to fallen tree branches and clean-up, as well as Burlington Hydro for restoring power to those who lost it. It was heartbreaking to see more than 40 tornados rip through the U.S. and leave such destruction right before the holidays.Residents born in 1971 (age 50) or earlier can now book their third COVID-19 vaccine appointment via the Halton Region website as of today, with additional groups of 18+ expected to book in early January. With the Omicron variant continuing to proliferate, these boosters are an important part of continued protection for our community.It's a busy week of committee and council meetings ahead and I'll be ending the week at the annual Burlington Chamber of Commerce Mayor's Luncheon with special guest speaker Rocco Rossi.
