Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: Jan 24-30, 2022

Good morning Burlington,This week is the annual ROMA conference - Rural Ontario Municipal Association. It began yesterday and extends through Tuesday. Along with keynotes from thought leaders, the Premier and other Ministers, there are opportunities to meet as delegations with Ministers as well. Staff and myself will be meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.With half of Burlington's land being rural, and many issues facing our rural residents and business owners, this is an important conference each year and I look forward to the dialogue, learnings and actionable takeaways that will result.The week ahead in full detail can be found here in my weekly update: Mayors Weekly Public Update Jan 24-30 2022~ Mayor Marianne Meed Ward
