Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: July 26-Aug 1, 2021

Hello Burlington,We are already heading into the last week of July and I think this two-dose summer is going a little faster than expected! I know we are all making the most of our newly permitted time with friends and family at backyard barbecues, restaurant patios, and local stores and ice cream shops. It is wonderful to see so many of you out and about in our neighborhoods and parks, and signing up for the city programs that will be kicking off in August now that we're in stage 3. Are you watching the Olympics? Great to see some medals already coming in for Canada!Our vaccination numbers continue to increase and I appreciate how diligent our community has been in signing up for their first and second shots and maintaining the good-sense health measures like masks and physical distancing when you're in indoor environments with people outside of your own household.
