Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: May 30 - June 5, 2022

Good morning Burlington,It's hard to believe June is upon us this week! It's a month where many important causes and initiatives are celebrated, including Pride Month, Bike Month, Seniors Month, and National Indigenous History Month. June 1 is also Red Shirt Day and Canada Clean Air Day.June also includes Shavuot (June 4-6), the Halton Community and Cultural Association Kite Flying Festival (June 5), the Sound of Music Festival (June 12-19), and Father's Day (June 19).Later this week I'll be heading to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' annual conference, which is back in person once again after being virtual for the past 2 years. It will be a good opportunity to connect with municipal leaders from across the country, share ideas and best practices, and hear from inspiring speakers.
