Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: November 15-21, 2021

Good Morning Burlington,It's always a good start to the week when we can look at our COVID-19 numbers and see case counts remain relatively stabilized and vaccine rates continue to incrementally rise.On November 8th, the Hybrid Pandemic Emergency Control Group members here at the city agreed to downgrade our current Level 3 - Full Activation to a Level 2- Partial Activation, while continuing to operate under our Municipal Declared State of Emergency. This means that we will have activated our Crisis Management Team and Operations Recovery Group to manage any ongoing issues/crisis that arise from pandemic impacts and we will transition into ongoing long term recovery efforts. This downgrade also allows for the ability to manage dual emergency activations if/when another type of short lived emergency/disaster occurs during the pandemic.A busy week of city and regional business ahead - my update for the week can be found here: Mayors Weekly Public Update Nov 15-21Wishing you all a good Monday!~ Mayor Marianne Meed Ward
