Good afternoon Burlington,Join me at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, 440 Locust St., on Monday (Sept. 19) for a broadcast of the State Funeral for Queen Elizabeth II — doors open at 5 a.m. with the funeral beginning at 6 a.m. EST. A book of condolence will be available for signing.Also on Monday:

  • City Hall will be closed; Emergency Services & Recreation Programming will continue;
  • National Commemorative Ceremony to Honour the Life & Service of Her Majesty at Ottawa’s Christ Church Cathedral (11 a.m.); and
  • Ontario to observe a moment of silence and Burlington Transit to pause service for 96 seconds - for every year of the Queen's life (1 p.m.).

Our last Burlington City Council meeting before the 2022 Municipal Election in October is next Tuesday (Sept 20).
