Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: Sept. 5-11, 2022

Good morning Burlington,I hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend. Whether you were at Spencer Smith Park enjoying the return of Ribfest, checking out local vendors at the farmers' market, or exploring one of our many parks and trails, I hope you were able to soak up the last little bit of summer and make wonderful memories.As we start September, the next exciting thing now is back to school time. I'm wishing all of our younger Burlington residents and their families a fantastic return to school -- as well as to all students, teachers and principals, a successful new school year! As well, thank you to all of our amazing crossing guards and bus drivers for ensuring our youngsters get to and from school safely every day!For all parents and caregivers out there, the Take Action Burlington blog recently posted some tips on how to make your child's return to school Eco-friendly!
