Mayor's Office Supports Burlington Dads Holiday Toy Drive with Additional Drop-Off Site at City Hall

The past year has been challenging for many families in our community and our local Burlington Dads group has consistently risen up to help those in need. This holiday season, please consider supporting their Toy Drive, in partnership with The Salvation Army, by dropping of a brand new, unwrapped toy – or even a gift card to help them purchase more toys – and make the season a little brighter for children throughout our city.We will be adding an additional drop-off location at Burlington City Hall to their list of sites in support of this fantastic community initiative. If you can help the Burlington Dads out this holiday season, please visit the lobby at Burlington City Hall, 426 Brant St., starting this Monday (Nov. 29) from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and drop off your donation in the specially-marked box. Donations will be accepted through to Friday, Dec. 10.Last year, the Burlington Dads collected 800 toys and gift cards with a total value of $13,000! They anticipate exceeding that goal this year thanks to our generous community members and I wholeheartedly believe they will be proven right! For more information about Burlington Dads or this year's Toy Drive, please visit burlingtondads.com or their Facebook group, respectively.-- Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward
