Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing Asks Heads of Council for Feedback on Housing Affordability Task Force Recommendations

Today (Sept. 15), Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Hon. Paul Calandra sent a letter to Ontario's municipalities asking us to evaluate and give our feedback on the recommendations from the Housing Affordability Task Force as the Province prepares for the upcoming Housing Forum in November 2023.The Province has also published a new progress webpage to track the work its completed on the recommendations to date.To read a copy of the letter, please click/tap here: MMAH Letter on LFGM TF Recommendations HOC Letter_2023SEP15As the letter to municipalities is addressed to heads of Council, I will be consulting with and seeking the input of my Council colleagues and City staff in my evaluation of the Task Force recommendations and in providing the Ministry and Province with my feedback.
