This letter will be sent to area residents affected by the Region of Halton - PR-2931D Notice of Lane Restrictions and Road Closures Final_Second Feedermain to Washburn Reservoir (002)SECOND FEEDERMAIN TO WASHBURN RESERVOIRNotice of Lane Restrictions and Road Closures - from Monday, April 22-Friday, May 3, 2019About this ProjectIMPROVEMENTSPlease be advised that Halton Region will be relocating existing Bell Canada infrastructure on Prospect Street at the Hydro One Corridor (between Cumberland Avenue and Dynes Road), Wards 2 and 4, City of Burlington, in order to allow for the installation for a future water valve chamber.The chamber will be used to connect the newly-built 900 mm feedermain (watermain) on Prospect Street with the existing 1050 mm feedermain at the Hydro One Corridor. This feedermain is required to expand the water system to facilitate growth within the Region.In order to complete this work, there will be lane restrictions and road closures on Prospect Street as noted below:

  • Daily Lane Restrictions from Monday, April 22 to Friday, May 3, 2019 between Dynes Road and Cumberland Avenue;
  • Nightly Road Closures between Dynes Road and the Hydro One Corridor from Monday, April 29-Friday, May 3, 2019, between 10 a.m.-6 a.m. Buses will be detoured during the road closure. Motorists travelling east on Prospect Street will be detoured south along Dynes Road to Woodward Avenue, then north on Cumberland Avenue. Those travelling west will be detoured south along Cumberland Avenue to Woodward Avenue, then north on Dynes Road to Prospect Street (see map).

Please note there will be some restrictions to driveways within this work area, but access will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays when travelling through the area. The road is expected to fully re-open on Saturday, May 4, 2019.Residents adjacent to the road closure should also expect an increase in noise levels from the nightly construction activity. Every effort will be made to minimize the amount of noise generated by this work and to complete the construction work as quickly as possible to lessen the overall impact of the road closure.We thank you for your continued patience as we complete this project.For more information about this project or other Regional improvement projects:
