As Official Plan heads toward approval, open houses planned for Nov. 16, 20

A statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act has been scheduled on November 30, 2017 at the Planning and Development Committee meeting to release the proposed new Official Plan for community and Council consideration.Notice of the Public Meeting and the proposed new Official Plan will be issued by November 10.Following the community feedback received through the statutory meeting process, staff will bring forward a report recommending adoption of the proposed new Official Plan to a subsequent Committee/Council meeting scheduled for January 2018.As part of the statutory meeting process, a series of three open houses have been scheduled:

• Thursday November 16, 6:30pm-8:30 pm, Art Gallery of Burlington;
• Monday November 20 at 1:00pm-3:00pm, City Hall;
• Monday November 20 at 6:30pm-8:30 pm, Haber Community Centre.
