Santa Claus Parade Dec. 1, 2-4pm
The parade starts near the Burlington Mall at the corner of Prospect Street and Guelph Line, marches along Guelph Line to New Street, travels west along New Street to James Street, then north on Brant Street. The parade route finishes at Brant Street and Caroline.Road closures are in effect from 11am-4:30pm on various streets along the route. Lakeside Festival of Lights
Friday, Nov. 29, 7 p.m., Spencer Smith ParkThe Lakeside Festival of Lights is Burlington’s longest running festival, lighting up the waterfront from dusk to dawn for 40 days over the holiday season. 2013 marks the 18th year for this special seasonal festival. Over 60 festive displays light up Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park through the holiday season. Wander through the park with family and friends, or get a full view of the themed displays while driving along Lakeshore Road at the City’s waterfront. It’s a magical sight for the whole family, especially the young at heart. The Festival of Lights has gained the reputation in the region and beyond as the must-see lighting extravaganza for the holidays.
