Sidewalk & road reconstruction Plains Rd, Maple to Helena

Minor reconstruction of Plains Road East from Maple Avenue to Helena Street is expected to begin mid-September and includes the following scope of work:• Storm sewer replacement• Road asphalt replacement• Curbs and sidewalk replacementThere are no extended road closures scheduled on this project. A full road closure will be permitted at night between the hours of 7:00pm and 6:30am for asphalt removal and paving activities. Single lane restrictions will occur during the day between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm for all other construction activities, including concrete repairs and storm sewer replacement.It is expected that the roadways will be in a gravel state for an extended period of time at which point the contractor will suppress any dust and/or nuisance caused by the granular with a dust-controlling agent.The storm sewer work and base coat of asphalt is expected to be completed by mid-November. The remaining work, including top coat of asphalt, will be completed in the Spring of 2018.Read the resident/business letter here for further information.Project Update 1
