Two 8-storey condos, 177 stacked & back-to-back townhouses proposed for Bingo Hall plaza at 484-490 Plains Rd. E

National Homes is seeking an Official Plan and Zoning Bylaw amendment to permit the redevelopment of the Bingo Hall plaza at 484-490 Plains Rd. E. into two 8-storey apartments with 280 units, 995 sq m of ground floor commercial, and 117 stacked and back-to-back townhouses. The applications also propose 31 surface, 421 underground and 12 lay-by parking spaces.The existing Mixed Use Corridor designation permits a maximum height of six storeys, a Floor Area Ratio of 1.5:1 and a maximum density of 51-185 units per hectare. The proposal would increase the height to 8 storeys, increase density to 216 units per hectare and increase the Floor Area Ratio to 2.14:1.A number of documents were submitted in support of the application and can be viewed online below.
