MacNaughton Hermsen Britton Clarkson Planning Limited (“MHBC”) and Coletara Development are hosting a pre-application community meeting to discuss the proposed redevelopment of the properties located at 355 Plains Road East and 1010 Downsview Drive. The two sites that are being considered for redevelopment are shown on the map.The Proposed RedevelopmentThe proposed concept for redevelopment of the Subject Lands currently includes two mid-rise residential buildings with tower heights of 11 and 9 storeys to the east and 8 storeys to the west, with stacked townhomes along the rear of both sites. The east portion of the site will include a total of 343 apartment units and 40 townhouse units. The west portion of the site will include 141 apartment units and 56 townhouse units. Overall, the development includes a total of 484 residential apartment units and 96 townhouse units.The ProcessThe community meeting will provide an opportunity for the project team to present an overview of the current proposal and gather input from the community before submitting any formal development applications. It will also provide an opportunity for the project team to respond to questions regarding the proposal and the process.The FormatThe meeting will be held using a Zoom webinar format. Burlington City Staff will provide an overview of the development application review process and explain how the public may participate as the development process advances. The consulting team for the project will provide an overview of the proposal and there will be an opportunity for questions and input of comments.
