The next Ward 2 Citizens’ Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7pm in Room 247. The agenda is below along with a list of other ward 2 meetings coming up this month:Tim Horton’s Public MeetingMon, Sept. 10, 6:30p.m., City Hall, Council ChambersResidents are invited to a statutory public meeting regarding the rezoning of 601 Brant Street (old Blockbuster building) to permit a fast food restaurant (Tim Horton’s). This meeting is part of a regularly scheduled Community Development Committee meeting and residents will have the opportunity to address members of city council. Those wanting to speak are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. Rezoning of 2424 Queensway DriveMon, Sept. 17, 7 p.m., Holiday Inn, 3063 South Service Rd.The owner has applied to rezone 2424 Queensway to allow one large single retail use on the property. The existing zoning allows a commercial plaza with several units. Citizens’ Waterfront CommitteeTues, Sept. 18, 7 p.m., City Hall, Room 305The citizens’ committee appointed by City Council will be disbanding at the end of the year.
