Press Release — Following the end of the New Street bike lane pilot project, work to resurface New Street from Guelph Line to Walkers Line is now underway and will be finished in mid-May.In 2016, the City of Burlington began a one-year pilot on a section of New Street between Walkers Line and Guelph Line, reducing the number of lanes from four to three with buffered bike lanes. Cycle tracks are physically separated from vehicle lanes, most commonly by the curb.Quick Facts
