Click here for more information, or see a parking attendant in a brightly-coloured vest on Saturdays & Sundays.**Please see below a news release issued by the City of Burlington.Burlington, Ont.—June 4, 2021— Burlington’s Beachway is open for use and ready for beach-goers. Residents are reminded that the water is unsupervised (no lifeguards) and are asked to continue to follow all Provincial restrictions and public health guidance, so we can all enjoy the summer safely.

  • Washrooms and changerooms are now open for use
  • For up-to-date water quality testing information, check Halton Region Public Health webpage halton.ca/beaches or dial 311
  • Additional sand has been brought into the beach to counter the seasonal beach erosion
  • Burlington Beach Rentals is open 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends for the rental of paddle boards, umbrellas, chairs and more

About the BeachwayIt's the place where Burlington comes to enjoy sun, sand and scenery. With 6.8 acres of park space and two kilometres of lakeside trails, an outdoor pavilion and playground, there is plenty to do and see at The Beachway. For the weekend warrior or adventure seeker there are many active options - cycling, running, rollerblading and lake swimming. The Beachway is the perfect spot for a quiet stroll along a picturesque shore; build sandcastles, bird watch or simply take in the views and bask in an inspirational sunrise or golden sunsets.Parking at the BeachwayVisitors to the beach must now pay for parking on weekends until Sept. 25, 2021. It is an hourly rate of $2.50 or a daily flat rate of $20. Users can scan the QR Code or download the HonkMobile app. There is a transaction fee of $0.35 for each payment. Dashboard tickets are not needed as every payment is linked to a license plate number. For more information, visit our Paid Parking and Reservations page.Free parking passes are available to Halton residents.The City is working with the Trans-Northern Pipeline to allow for some urgent work that needs to be carried out along Lakeshore Road. The work is near the drop-off area in the parking lot but visitors are still able to access this area. Please follow @CityBurlington on Facebook or Twitter in the event that the drop-off area needs to be relocated to accommodate this work.Fires Are Not PermittedIt is important to note that fires, no matter how small, are not allowed on the beach or anywhere within the City’s urban boundary.
