Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: April 12-18, 2021
Good Morning Burlington,As Spring Break for students is now in full swing, with our educational workers getting a much-needed break, I send my thoughts to all the parents out there who are undoubtedly challenged with ideas to keep their young family members engaged and entertained. I know the weather is not optimal either, and there will likely be more screen time than you would like as a result. Hopefully some of the old standbys will find their way into your rotation: books, puzzles, board games, crafts, building forts, going for walks, bike rides and gardening. Please be kind to yourselves as parents and caregivers, and remember you are doing the best you can in these extraordinary times. When you are outside getting exercise during the breaks in rain, please do your very best to stay 6-ft apart from those not in your own household, especially in community parks and playgrounds. I know it isn't easy, but our healthcare capacity is truly strained beyond its limits and we need your help to keep Burlingtonians as healthy as possible. My weekly update can be found here: Mayors Weekly Public Update April 12-18Sending you all strength and compassion in the week ahead.Mayor Marianne Meed Ward
