*Please see below a news release issued by the Small Urban GTHA Mayors.For Immediate ReleaseApril 9, 2021"The Small Urban GTHA Mayors met today to discuss the current stay-at-home order, vaccine rollouts and the importance of getting vaccinated.It is imperative for people to book their vaccination appointment based on the eligibility criteria as established within the public health unit where they reside. Regional variations in eligibility criteria can occur due to various circumstances such as the location of identified hot spots. The Mayors remind their residents that the best vaccine is the one first available to you.We are grateful to the Federal and Provincial governments for taking a targeted approach during Phase 2 of the vaccine distribution plan and call on them to consider vaccinating those residents living in small urban communities that require travel to and from identified "hot spots" for employment purposes.
