Mayor Meed Ward’s Weekly Update: Aug. 29-Sept. 4, 2022

Good morning Burlington,Hard to believe the unofficial end to summer is almost here, leading into the Labour Day long weekend this week.Canada's Largest Ribfest returns to Burlington's Spencer Smith Park, Sept. 2-5, 2022. Organized by Rotary Burlington Lakeshore, the event is its largest and most successful fundraiser that has been around since 1996 -- all proceeds collected have gone to charity since the event's inception. Also, a reminder that Halton residents are eligible for 10 free parking passes annually for Beachway Park while paid weekend rates there apply – paid parking is not in effect on holidays. For more information and details on how to fill out the online parking exemption form once you’ve arrived at the beach and found a legal parking spot, please visit burlington.ca/paypark. Please note, the parking pass/exemption does not guarantee a spot, but it does give residents free parking for the day.My full weekly update for Aug. 29-Sept. 4, 2022 can be found here: Mayor's Weekly Public Update Aug. 29-Sept 4, 2022.Have a great week!~ Mayor Marianne Meed Ward
