Skateboarding on streets to be reviewed
As the city tries to encourage more active transportation, we are reviewing rules around using Burlington's streets for wheeled transportation including skateboarding, roller blades, electric scooters and other "emerging vehicles." Currently all of these are prohibited on city streets.
Burlington's Central Park not suited for leash free activities
There are two other parks in Ward 2 where there is potential for leash free activity and I will work with those residents should they be interested in proceeding with a leash free area.

Our current bylaws don't prevent the conversion of a restaurant to a night club, or restrict night club activities in condos.
Give Input on Liquor License Application-1445 Elgin Street
A new restaurant and bar is planned for the site at 1445 Elgin Street, on the corner of Locust. The new owners have applied for a liquor license, and this process provides residents with the opportunity to give input and request conditions
Seeking your input on summer bar season
We want a vibrant downtown, rich with activities and amenities, but vibrant neighbourhoods must also be livable. The goal is to strike a balance. Residents expect and even welcome a certain amount of noise and activity downtown. Do we have the right balance? Let me know what you think.
Staff direction to study night clubs in condos
Residents of the Baxter condo on Elizabeth St have contacted me about noise and other nuisances from the Honey West night club in the first floor of their building.
Downtown Burlington is the only area in the city where nightclubs are allowed to co-exist with residences, and our bylaws don't differentiate between night clubs with loud music, bands and dancing till the wee hours, and restaurants that close at 11.
