Guelph Line area watermain upgrade — Prospect to Mainway

The construction around the Guelph Line area, from Prospect Street to Mainway, is related to a watermain upgrade being done by Halton Region and expected to take until the end of 2019. A second, large diameter watermain is being built to the Washburn Reservoir and Pumping Station.

These improvements are meant to provide reliable access to high-quality drinking water to residents and businesses. The large diameter watermain will run along:
  • Prospect Street (from the Hydro One Corridor to Guelph Line);
  • Guelph Line (from Prospect Street to Mainway);
  • Mainway (from Guelph Line to the Burlington Hydro Corridor); and
  • The Burlington Hydro Corridor (from Mainway to Heathfield Drive);
  • Localized improvements will also take place in the Hydro One Corridor near New Street.

The project began in August 2017 and is expected to end in December. For more information, call 311, email accesshalton@halton.ca, or visit the Region's website.
