Neighbourhood Meeting for development application at 2069-2079 Lakeshore and 383-385 Pearl
Residents looking to get more information on a downtown development application for 2069-2079 Lakeshore Road and 383-385 Pearl Street will want to head to the neighbourhood meeting scheduled for later this month.The meeting will be held at the Art Gallery of Burlington, 1333 Lakeshore Rd., on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m., where the public will also get a chance to provide some initial feedback to city staff. No decision has been made on this application yet.The applicant, Lakeshore (Burlington) Inc. and represented by Mark Bales of Carriage Gate Homes, is looking to put in a 29-storey, mixed-use building with 280 residential units and 675 square metres of ground-floor commercial retail space that would front onto Lakeshore and Pearl.
Other aspects of the proposal include:
- Adaptive re-use of listed heritage buildings fronting on Pearl Street as Live/Work units;
- Five levels of underground parking (280 spaces) and at-grade level parking (11 spaces); and
- Car access from Lakeshore Road and loading access from Pearl Street.
